Hello! I’m Katie.
I was drawn to photography sophomore year of high school when I carried my mom's camera to school every day. My goal was to take at least one photo each day, and I'm sure my fellow classmates appreciated the documentation of those awkward years!
After high school, I sought out my first photography internship, graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor's in business administration, and then got a job using my business degree. My stint in the corporate world was very short-lived and I decided to go back to school for photography, where I was trained in the art of film and studio lighting and received my degree in commercial photography. Since graduating, I have studied under amazing photographers and have realized the importance of my career. I consider it a privilege to be part of humankind's most memorable events.

When I’m not photographing, I am a mama to Claire & Ben and married to Jon, who is a smarty-pants microbiologist. I love all things mint dark chocolate, dogs, & plants (my favorite houseplant is my ric-rac cactus & my favorite outdoor planting is a variegated Peruvian Lily). I also spend a lot of time with my family, my happy place is Mulhall’s Greenhouse, & dancing is my jam!
